In The Way to Happiness, the common-sense moral code written by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard for use by people of all religions and beliefs, this “rule” is expressed in two precepts—one expressing the “thou shalt not” side of the equation and one to clarify what “thou shalt,” which is beautifully illustrated in The Way to Happiness book on film on the Scientology Network.

Precept 19: Try not to do things to others that you would not like them to do to you.

Precept 20: Try to treat others as you would want them to treat you.

_______________

From its beginnings, the Church of Scientology has recognized that freedom of religion is a fundamental human right. In a world where conflicts are often traceable to intolerance of others’ religious beliefs and practices, the Church has, for more than 50 years, made the preservation of religious liberty an overriding concern.

The Church publishes this blog to help create a better understanding of the freedom of religion and belief and provide news on religious freedom and issues affecting this freedom around the world.
